The Bachelor of Science in Biology with a concentration in Coastal Ecology and Conservation serves the need for trained coastal scientists with knowledge and skills required to address the unique problems facing coastal ecosystems.

The Bachelor of Marine Science and Management prepares you with the know how to manage coastal and marine systems, with learning environments including the Great Barrier Reef, the Solitary Islands, and Cape Byron, on the East Coast of Australia.

The Bachelor of Science in Marine Sciences presents an interdisciplinary curriculum, which works on developing the students’ knowledge, skills and fundamental attitudes of the marine sciences, and the application of these to environmental scientific research, to the management of marine resources, the responsible use of these, and the conservation of the marine and coastal ecosystems.

From oceans to coastal wetlands, students will learn about marine organisms and their behaviors and interactions with the environment. Marine Sciences students study oceanography, statistics, fisheries and aquatic sciences, and invertebrate biodiversity. Students can focus elective courses on ecology, organismal biology, economics, human dimensions, and/or quantitative or professional skills.

This combined degree in Environmental and Marine Science prepares you with an understanding of the complex environments in which we live and the keys to solving environmental problems at a local and global level.

The Bachelor of Science in Marine Resource Management (B.S.-M.R.M.) degree is designed for graduates who have completed an Associate in Arts (A.A.) or Associate in Science (A.S.) degree. The B.S.-M.R.M. program includes coursework and field experience in marine resource management settings to enable students to integrate theory with practice.

Our Bachelor of Marine and Antarctic Science with an Honours degree has been developed to provide students with advanced knowledge and scientific training in a specialised area of marine or Antarctic science.

Students interested in the long-term sustainability of populations and ecosystems are ideal candidates for an interdisciplinary marine conservation degree at Florida Tech. This field of study examines how to mitigate the pressures that development and climate change impose on natural systems.

The UMIP offers graduates of this degree knowledge about the procedures of import, export, and transshipment operations of merchandise in a port terminal; the legal aspects that regulate national port institutions, as well as the basic principles in the planning, organization, direction, control, and costing in the services of the port industry. He will also be able to supervise all the personnel and operations that take place within the port system, he will be able to evaluate and analyze the conditions that could affect the development of maritime transport and learn about maritime legislation in the national and international field. The graduate will have character, responsibility and tolerance will act as a true agent of change. You will be able to take decisions and actions that favor the protection of the environment and you will be committed to the development and well-being of your society.
