The Department of Religious Studies offers a Minor program in Christian Studies. Christianity is not only the single most powerful influence on the history and development of Western civilization and culture, but the largest and most widespread religion in the world today. The Minor in Christian Studies offers an academic and scholarly exploration, open to students of all backgrounds, of the fundamental Christian teachings and values, and of Christianity’s continuing role in the shaping of the contemporary world and its issues.

This program is designed to prepare individuals for pastoral and educational leadership in Christian communities, as well as providing the basis for continuing higher education.

Bachelor's of Christian Ministry program is designed to prepare individuals for pastoral and educational leadership in Christian communities, as well as provide the basis for continuing higher education. This program qualifies for Canada and Alberta Student Loans and is Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP) eligible for International Students.

The Biblical Studies major allows students to study the Christian Bible in deeper, more expansive ways than most have ever undertaken. You will delve into its rich chapters in a literary, historical, and theological manner while exploring the ancient text’s contemporary relevance. Through the course of your study, you will gain knowledge and appreciation for the languages of the Bible, both Greek and Hebrew. You will uncover the meanings of the Bible’s original language versus the translations or paraphrased versions that the average person might read.

Tyndale’s BA in Biblical Studies and Theology will stretch and grow you both academically and spiritually, all within a supportive community. Actively pursue the hard questions of the Bible, theology and life as you are challenged by professors and peers from different backgrounds. Graduates from this program are building and serving in dynamic ministries that stem from the solid biblical and theological foundation they received during their studies.

The Bachelor of Christian Ministry program offers an increasing degree of knowledge and leadership development as it builds onto the Christian Ministry Diploma courses (years 1 and 2). The program objectives are: a competent knowledge of Scripture, and attitude of servant leadership, and skill development for Christian ministry.
