Zurich is home to over 60 thousand people at 20 universities and even more at other tertiary schools. It’s also known for technology and applied sciences, mainly by winning prizes at European and world conventions and by producing Noble Laureates.

A biomedical research program may consist of obligatory taught and research elements. Taught aspects may include instruction on key research skills such as critical analysis, scientific writing, experimental techniques and presentation skills. Instructors may also encourage scholars to participate in or observe active research projects.

Switzerland has some of the world renown universites like ETH in Zurich, EPFL in Lausanne, IHEID in Geneva, University of Lausanne or the University of St. Gallen. Keep in mind, it's much better to speak the local language, so if you can't speak either French, German or Italian, better go for a language course first.
