The faculty advisors work with all students interested in pursuing a career in health professions (ex: medical, dental, pharmacy, etc.). We work with both current students and Alumni who are applying to health professions schools and encourage all students that are interested in a career in Health Professions to attend workshops, familiarize themselves with our website, join our emails, and to come to our office for an advising appointment every semester. The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry offers majors leading to a Bachelor of Science or a Bachelor of Arts Degree. The B.A. Degree also has a Biochemistry Option. The Bachelor of Science in Chemistry is designed primarily for students who plan to enter graduate programs in chemistry or other closely related sciences. Students graduating with this degree will be certified to the Society and will receive a certificate from the ACS. The Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry fulfills the need of those students who are pursuing pre-medical or pre-dental programs as well as those who plan to enter fields such as business, environmental or patent law, where a background in chemistry can be of great utility.

As part of our Ecology and Conservation module, we also run a range of impressive field courses both within the UK and overseas, including River Ecology in Wales, Tropical Marine Ecology in Tobago, and Rainforest Biodiversity in Malaysia.

The BSc in Biology line offers a full 3-year education in biology. The study program for the full-time training offers a complete education in biology, with special directions, particularly in neurobiology, genetics, microbiology, animal and plant ecology, botany, zoology, and plant physiology. Special directions in the second year have two modules: infra-individual (means more laboratory practice and cellular biology) and supra-individual (means more ecology) courses.
