The largest major at UWRF, animal science, is housed in the College of Agriculture, Food and Environmental Sciences. A comprehensive major, animal science encompasses all aspects of domestic animal production, including feeding, breeding, health and management, and the processing of food and fibre products derived from animals.

There are many colleges and universities where students can learn about animal behaviour, but very few like Franklin & Marshall College provide opportunities in the Animal Behavior major of the Biological Foundations of Behavior program for undergraduates to work directly in the laboratory, field, zoos and other countries with many animal species, including aquatic invertebrates, fish, mammals, birds and capuchin monkeys.

This multidisciplinary major prepares you for a career path to focus on animals, their needs, and their relationship with human beings.
