Accredited by the Society and College of Radiographers, BSc (Hons) Diagnostic Radiography will equip you with the skills to be a professional radiographer. This course was in the top 10 for Radiography courses in the Sunday Times Good University Guide League Table 2022. You will spend 50% on a rotation of placements to ensure you gain experience in trauma imaging and specialised areas. Alongside this, you’ll build your skills in our new £2.5 million Centre for Medical Imaging in collaboration with GE Healthcare which contains a CT scanner, two X-ray systems, a mobile X-ray system and five ultrasound scanners.

The Computed Tomography program is designed for individuals who have completed an A.S. degree in Radiographic Science and for other healthcare professionals who are licensed, registered, or certified in their respective areas of training. This program includes theoretical content and a clinical internship. The degree program serves as a foundation for graduate and/or further professional study.

Medical Laboratory Science (MLS) is a biology and chemistry-based degree that prepares students for a challenging and rewarding medical career. The results of the analyzation and evaluation aid physicians and other health professionals in both the diagnosis of disease and the management of health.

The purpose of the Bachelor of Health Sciences in the Medical Laboratory Sciences programme is to produce graduates competent to apply theoretical and practical fundamental knowledge and skills in the fields of medical science and research.

The BA (Audiology) program is aimed at acquiring in-depth knowledge of the normal and pathological hearing and balance process within the framework of human communication. From the second year, in addition to theoretical modules, students do hands-on clinical training with patients (from infants to adults) in clinics, hospitals, schools, and at outreach centres.

The Physician Assistant program at Thiel College features two distinct paths to earning a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies: Pathway 1 - Highly motivated high school seniors can enroll in our accelerated five-year program. Students will earn a traditional four-year bachelor’s degree in Health Systems and continue at Thiel for a fifth year to complete the master’s degree program. Please refer to the Health systems major for additional information regarding the undergraduate degree. Pathway 2 – Students who have already completed a Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree and wish to attain a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Thiel College should explore our 27-month post-baccalaureate program.

The Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MB ChB) degree is commonly referred to as the 'medical degree'. School leavers enrol at Otago for the common Health Sciences First Year course and then apply for admission to second year medicine. Graduates may also apply for admission at second year. If successful, students will complete a further five years, then after graduation work for another year under probation in order to gain general registration. There is a wide range of specialisation available in the public and private sectors, involving research, academic medicine, public health, clinical medicine and other areas. Specialties include Cardiology, Oncology, Pediatrics, Psychological Medicine, Surgery, Pathology, Public Health, General Practice and many others. Most doctors complete postgraduate training in their chosen specialty.

The BS in Medical Laboratory Science prepares students for careers in hospitals and clinics as well as in biotechnology and industrial laboratories. Medical Laboratory Science (MLS) is a profession of highly knowledgeable and skilled individuals who perform clinical laboratory tests on blood, other body fluids, or tissue samples. This is a critical part of health care, as the results obtained by these laboratory tests are vital tools for physicians in the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disease.

The Bachelor of Science in Clinical Laboratory Sciences is awarded jointly with Rutgers University School of Health Professions (Rutgers-SHP). Students must complete specified degree requirements at Felician University before they can enter Rutgers-SHP for their professional coursework. 

laboratory animal science is a fascinating, relatively new field of applied science which deals with the biology of animal models used in biomedical research, and their relationships to man and other animal species in regard to health and disease prevention. It offers career opportunities in the pharmaceutical industry, in government regulatory agencies, and in research and development organizations. The B.S. in Laboratory Animal Science is the degree of choice for students who are interested in pre-vet, pre-med, and preparation for advanced studies in human and animal health-related areas. Graduates also emerge with leadership skills in the area of animal welfare. The degree is the only program of its kind in North Carolina.

The purpose of the BA Hons in Art Therapy is to develop students’ creative, imaginative, and critical knowledge, skills, and academic research capabilities within the domains of the art therapy discourse, visual arts, and psychosocial and therapeutic industries. The Honours program will equip students with an intermediate knowledge of Art Therapy theories, and research methodologies, as they relate to eventual practice as an Art Therapist on completion of a Master's in Art Therapy, as well as an ability to think competently, safely, and ethically in a range of observed clinical settings.
