23 Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree Programs

The Bachelor of Fine Arts in Filmmaking is a three-year program designed to develop versatile storytellers and skilled professionals in filmmaking, film production, and film and television directing. The curriculum provides a comprehensive foundation in the art and craft of filmmaking, combining theoretical knowledge with intensive hands-on training. Students gain practical experience across all key areas of film and television production, including directing, production, editing, cinematography, and screenwriting. Through collaborative projects and industry-style workflows, they learn how to develop, produce, and direct original works from concept to screen. The program includes two major production periods — Midterm Projects and Final Projects. Final films must be submitted to the Greenlighting Committee, where projects are evaluated and selected for production, replicating the professional decision-making process used in the film and television industry.

The Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) in Photography degree program balances analog and digital technologies, emphasizing the development of a creative identity and gaining a solid understanding of the image-making process.

The Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Interior Design encourages a thorough, versatile design approach, following systematic and coordinated methodologies.

With Paris as its extraordinarily rich cultural setting, the PCA Fine Arts Department promotes the development of artistic skills, the expression of creative processes, and an informed awareness of how art practice intersects with current visual, cultural, and societal concerns.

The four-year Bachelor of Fine Arts in Performing Arts has US accreditation with the Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE). This program offers a conservatory and holistic approach to the performing arts, one that not only concentrates on performance from a participatory perspective (that is to say, on being a performer), but also prepares students for the wide and exciting range of careers available in the performing arts industry.

The four-year Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) in Creative Writing covers all aspects of written communication, with particular emphasis on those that lie outside the purely academic and technical fields. Creative writing draws on the author’s imaginative capacity, stylistic felicity, and originality of composition, insight and expression.

Through a groundbreaking partnership with Emerson College, students may now apply to the new, joint global BFA in Film Art. In this one-of-a-kind program, you’ll get to create everything from experimental films and videos to gallery installations, web series, and public art.
