The Liberal Studies/Elementary Bachelor of Arts program is the teacher preparation program for K-8 teachers, offered through the College of Arts & Sciences and the School of Education's Curriculum & Instruction department. The program includes courses in English literature, fine arts, humanities, math and science, social sciences, and teaching methodology courses.

The Bachelor of Arts degree in Social Ecology enables students to evaluate and address problems in light of the complex interplay between social factors and environmental concerns. Graduates with this degree may pursue work in areas such as public policy, civil service, human services, and the non‐profit sector, and may choose to go on to pursue further education in fields such as law, social work, urban planning, or environmental science.

Our Gender and Sexuality Studies program is committed to providing undergraduate students with intersectional feminist perspectives on gender and sexuality and to fostering critical feminist and queer research. We integrate interdisciplinary and transnational approaches to the theorizing and study of gender and sexuality. We also offer a range of courses that facilitate student learning about the diversity of genders and sexualities in the United States and globally.

The Bachelor of Science degree in Neuroscience is housed within the Department of Psychology but is distinctly interdisciplinary. Required courses are taught by faculty in both Psychology and Biology Departments. It emphasizes the biological correlates of behavior, and it is designed for students who plan to go on to postgraduate work or go into the professional application of the health sciences.

Communication is a diverse academic discipline. Originating from the Aristotelian tradition which stressed oral communication skills, most current Communication programs offer much more-the development of written communication skills, studies in Media, Organizational Communication, Interpersonal Communication, Journalism, Public Relations, analysis of Media Effects, Popular Culture, and Rhetoric.

The Bachelor of Arts in Film program offered by La Sierra University is designed to provide students with a wide variety of skills required to be successful professional storytellers.
