This BA (Honours) in Arts and Humanities (Religious Studies) degree gives you the freedom to combine the study of different subject areas in the arts and humanities. You'll develop a specialism in religious studies, exploring religions as an aspect of human culture, society and politics. You can combine this with a second specialism or choose to develop broader interests in art history, classical studies, creative writing, English language, English literature, history, modern languages, music, and philosophy.

This is one of several specialist routes available in our BA (Honours) Social Sciences (R23) degree. You'll study core modules in interdisciplinary social science and sociology, giving you a firm grounding in ideas central to the social sciences. This will be combined with exploring a variety of phenomena mediated by religion, from consumerism and the environment, atheism and Hindu nationalism, to racism, the urban environment and contemporary pilgrimage.

The Christian Studies degree provides solid preparation for adult students seeking careers in church or parachurch ministry.

The Bachelor of Arts in Ministry program is designed to prepare leaders with little or no prior theological training to provide pastoral leadership for a congregation. It prepares students for diaconal or other non-ordained ministries within the church and can be used as a route to ordained ministry, pre-seminary training, or graduate theological studies. This 126-credit program provides a general overview of theology and skills for congregational and other ministry contexts.

The Bachelor of Arts in Theological Studies goal is to prepare undergraduate students as lay leaders or vocational ministers for educational leadership in local churches, linked to the GCU’s vision to glory God by equipping them with biblical principles and a Christian worldview.
