NSU’s dynamic, rewarding theatre degree program can be your foundation if you’re considering a professional or semi-professional career in theatre, graduate studies in theatre to participate in dramatic arts at the secondary level, or working with community theaters. As a theatre student, you’ll work toward a liberal arts degree with an emphasis on performance and studio activity. Northern theatre offers opportunities to be involved in several productions each year. You can take part in campus productions and gain experience in acting, directing, stage management, lighting, makeup, stagecraft, and musical theatre. Students graduating with a B.A. in theatre must register for THEA 491 Senior Show.

The Bachelor of Arts (BA) is Otago's most flexible undergraduate degree Program, enabling students to study from a selection of more than 40 arts and social science subjects, as well as papers offered elsewhere in the University. Academic breadth is complemented by in-depth knowledge gained through majoring in one or two subjects with the option of minors in one or two others.

Binghamton offers a BA in theatre, providing students with the opportunity to take courses in areas such as: acting, directing, dance, and design/technical theatre. In addition, students can also take courses in musical theater, performance theory, history or criticism.

The BA (Hons) Theatre Industry Practice is a hands-on, skills-led course designed for aspiring performers, producers, and technical theatre professionals. Created in response to industry demand, this program immerses students in a range of disciplines, from acting and directing to stage management, lighting, and set design. With expert-led training, live theatre productions, and specialized placements, students gain real-world experience to launch successful careers in the dynamic performing arts industry.

The WLU Theater program offers Bachelor’s degrees in Performance and Design/Technical Theater, as well as minors in Costume Design, Scene Design, and Dance.

Trevecca’s Bachelor of Arts in dramatic arts is designed to prepare you for a competitive career in professional theatre or theatre education, or for graduate studies in theatre. You can tailor your degree to your passions and goals by specializing in specific aspects of theatre like acting, directing, design, playwriting, or stage management.

Central's BA (Hons) Acting (Musical Theatre) degree course provides you with the skills to work in classical and contemporary theatre, musicals, feature film, television and radio. Throughout the course, you will explore acting through a range of contemporary approaches to sung and spoken voice, movement and dance. As an actor, you will interrogate both musical and non-musical settings ranging from Shakespeare and the modern American realists to Sondheim and the popular musical. As the course progresses you will acquire the necessary skills for the realization of ‘character’ in both the transformational and heightened theatrical styles of both spoken and sung performance. The course has outstanding links with the performing arts industry and this is reflected in the wide range and high percentage of graduate employment. Students are entitled to full Equity status upon graduation.
