10 Technology BA Degree Programs

BA (Hons) Games Art and Technology is a bespoke course that helps students gain an intimate understanding of the art development process, exploring such domains as environment design, character design, and technical art practice. The real fun bit: this is your chance to explore how to tell the stories that pop into your head in the most visual way possible.  

The Media & Technology Studies concentration is designed for students interested in the development and critical analysis of different forms of media and technologies as social, cultural, political and economic forces. Contemporary issues explored may include: technologies in the urban context, privacy and surveillance, media and mobility, data and society, digital identity, digital health & culture, media law, media policy, media ethics, and global media. Throughout these courses, students develop skills in critical engagement with media as well as some experiences of multimodal writing and production.

Electronic Science and Technology is a national key program. Graduates will engage in scientific research, technology development and teaching in the field of electronics and information engineering or high-level management in related areas.

Following XJTLU’s exciting and innovative Syntegrative Educational Model, this programme is an equal collaboration between the University and its industry partner, China Culture and Media Group Zhong Chuan Fortune, at the School of Cultural Technology in XJTLU Entrepreneur College (Taicang).

This program focuses on emerging art and design practices, media storytelling, and interaction technologies. Courses, internships, and collaborations with external partners emphasize the ways in which media and technology drive and are driven by social and cultural change. STS explores the interaction of science and technological innovation with the past, present, and future of the wider world. This program will help you think critically about how social, political, and cultural values affect innovation and research, and how innovation and research in turn affects human life. You will gain a fully interdisciplinary experience with courses from Anthropology, Art and Design, Economics, English and Film Studies, History, Sociology, Philosophy, and more.

This specialty is aimed to develop students with all-round development of morality, intelligence, physique and beauty.

Immerse yourself in the world of digital design on one of the most prestigious Computer Arts degrees in Europe. This professionally accredited course develops your skills and understanding in the field of digital arts and design, with subjects like animation, 3D development, concept art, and asset and character design. 

Computer science is the study of information and computation. The Math Department offers a minor in computer science focused on the central principles of problem solving and algorithms as they are applied to diverse fields such as bioinformatics, artificial intelligence, databases, security and computational mathematics.
