BA in Social Work graduates is aware of the complexity and dynamics of social systems and human behavior. They are committed to the values and ethics of Social Work and act according to the principles of social justice. Social workers promote the development of democratic social relations and social integration.

The BA in International Relations is an interdisciplinary course addressing key global challenges, issues, and approaches to politics. The goal of the program is to train highly qualified experts with a broad education in the social sciences. We have a wide range of courses focusing on global issues, dealing with developing countries and the growing Asian states, while we can offer a deep insight into European and Central Eastern European issues. The three-year undergraduate course will provide you with the theoretical and practical context of international relations offering intellectual preparation for a wide range of career choices.

The aim of the programme in BA in Pedagogy (Intercultural Educational Assistant Specialization) is to train educational professionals, who understand that education is a process of human, cultural and social development that takes place in the family/at home, in communities, in schools and the workplace.

The aim of the English and American Studies BA is to train experts who have a proficient command of the English language and have profound knowledge regarding English-speaking cultures.

In addition to acquiring practical knowledge, methods, and techniques, in small group sessions you can also get familiar with the operation and events of Hungarian and international institutions and scientific workshops. According to the needs of the labour market, our students not only learn but also gain experience with different project tasks and internships. Kodolányi is the only university in Hungary offering specialization on foreign- and security policies.

The aim of the BA German Studies is to train students in order to gain basic professional knowledge in the fields of the German language, culture and literature. The students enrolled in the program will also be able to use the German language both in oral and written form.

The goal of this program is to train professional sociologists at the bachelor level. Successful graduates of the program should have a solid grasp of the concepts and principles of sociology and have mastered (at the appropriate level) its methods, and they should be able to identify and interpret social problems meaningfully. Besides the traditional lectures and seminars, the program is based on project-based teaching methods and includes one semester of intensive project work.

Our Bachelor's degree in International Relations offers students the opportunity to develop specialized knowledge in international politics, security studies, EU politics, ethnic conflict, global justice, and human rights. It enables them to understand and analyze complex political and social dynamics that go beyond state borders and cultural boundaries. The structure of the program offers the opportunity for students – following introductory courses in the first year – to choose from a wide range of elective seminars.

By obtaining their BA in English and American Studies, students will possess a wide range of skills and knowledge a thorough understanding of the English language and of English-speaking peoples and cultures worldwide, a high level of competence in the English language meeting the competency requirements of both the Written and Oral parts of the Advanced Level State Proficiency Examination, familiarity with basic research- and study techniques within the field of English Studies, the ability to translate a variety of non-field-specific texts in an intelligent manner.

The needs of Roma communities could be professionally and effectively represented by trained Romologists and the initiatives of the different organizations, institutions might be also represented through them among the local Roma communities in order to gain efficient communication to solve current issues in BA in Romology (Roma Studies) /Specialization in Boyash language and culture / Specialization in Romani language and culture.

The program is offered by the School of English and American Studies. The program can be completed either as a major or a minor program, the latter is only available for students who study in other major programs at ELTE. Students taking the program as a major opt for either the English or the American track at the end of the first term. The three-year-long program does not provide teaching qualifications.

The program in English and American Studies was founded at our university in 1993.

The program is good choice for students interested in the history, civilization and culture of English speaking countries as well as the scientific investigation of the different areas - pronunciation, sentence structure, language varieties, language policy - of the English language.

The EKCU Institute of Music offers a six-semester bachelor's degree program, where students study and experience a blend of Hungarian music education tradition and a 21st-century approach to music education and performance practice.
