Includes laboratory studies, tutorials and field work. Physical Geography is the study of the natural environment that promotes the understanding of the interactions between social, earth and physical science.

Geography is a discipline that integrates the environmental and social sciences. Geography studies location, places, regions, human-environment interactions, and movement. The BA in Biology provides a sound liberal arts education with substantial experience in quantitative and analytical thought, along with preparation for related professions. The program provides the strong background necessary not only for graduate study in the life sciences, but also enables students to develop careers in a wide variety of disciplines, including teaching, environmental management, microbiology, molecular biology, biotechnology, genetics, wildlife management, fisheries biology, and marine science.

The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry offers majors leading to a Bachelor of Science or a Bachelor of Arts Degree. The B.A. Degree also has a Biochemistry Option. The Bachelor of Science in Chemistry is designed primarily for students who plan to enter graduate programs in chemistry or other closely related sciences. Students graduating with this degree will be certified to the Society and will receive a certificate from the ACS. The Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry fulfills the need of those students who are pursuing pre-medical or pre-dental programs as well as those who plan to enter fields such as business, environmental or patent law, where a background in chemistry can be of great utility.

The Bachelor of Arts (BA) programme consists of 24 courses, of which 8 courses are at 100-level, 8 courses are at 200-level, and 8 courses are at 300-level, including 2 x 100-level university courses and 2 x 200-level university courses. Students who enroll in the three-year BA degree programme may take Mathematics as a single major, a double major, or a minor.

The Geology, BA program aims to provide students with both high-quality conceptual knowledge and hands-on training in geology in preparation for careers within the earth-science field or for graduate studies in geology.

Earth Science is an all-embracing term for the multiple sciences related to the planet Earth. The B.A. degree in Geology with a major in Earth Science is designed to integrate all the Earth sciences in a systems approach to understanding the Earth. This includes incorporating and integrating subjects such as oceanography, meteorology and astronomy.
