As a Lewis & Clark biology major, you will do biology: you will generate hypotheses, design studies, collect data in the lab and the field, analyze and interpret them, and communicate your findings through talks, posters, and papers. Public health includes promoting healthy lifestyles, researching disease and injury prevention, and detecting, preventing and responding to infectious diseases.

If you are interested in lifestyle choices and behaviors related to the individual and group health of humans, you'll learn about the latest theories, concepts, and evidence-based practices to encourage people to make healthy choices as a student in this program.

Cottey College's women, gender, and sexuality studies program examines what it means to be a woman. Students explore questions such as: Who decides who or what a woman is? What does it mean to be a woman today? and What is feminism? They then apply these ideas to macro-level perspectives, including how gender structures our social, political, and economic world and how people's experiences of gender have varied across time, space, and culture.

Public Policy Studies at the Mount is an interdisciplinary program that concentrates on Canadian public policy and global issues. Students enrolled in the program take a range of courses in both political science and economics and choose from a large pool of courses from a number of disciplines. Students complete the academic requirements with a senior seminar designed to integrate their new-found knowledge and provide them with broadened perspectives on important dimensions of public affairs.
