Upon graduation with a Theology and Youth Ministry major from Thiel College, a student will demonstrate: familiarity with the biblical writings of the Jewish and Christian traditions and with scholarly approaches to interpreting these and other religious texts; the ability to interpret the nature of religious experience, Christian and otherwise, with a level of sophistication appropriate to an undergraduate scholar of religion; knowledge of the key persons, works, and movements from the history of Christianity; and a mature understanding of the interrelatedness of religion and culture.

The Bachelor of Arts in Theology and Ministry (BATM) degree is a three-year degree offered to equip students for effective ministry through academic instruction combined with hands-on ministry and personal mentorship that help students attain a fundamental grounding in biblical and theological studies.

The Bachelor of Arts Degree Program provides basic and advanced equipping for ministry or further study in a graduate program. Through biblical, ministry, and general education studies; and Christian ministry training, students are prepared for entrance into church, para-church, or mission-related professions.

The online Bachelor of Arts in Christian Ministry prepares, equips, and forms Christian students for ministry in Christian congregations as pastors and other ministry leaders.

The Bachelor of Arts in Ministry degree (B.A.Min.) is designed for persons who wish to gain a breadth of ministry skills and knowledge to serve as ministers, counselors, educators, or in supportive roles for the mission of the church and the redemptive work of God in this world.

Through the Department of Theology, the urban ministry program combines both theological and interdisciplinary courses to prepare the student for the vast opportunities for ministry in urban and cross-cultural settings. The focus of this major is on the student's preparation rather than on the development of specific ministry skills so that the student may be faithful in the call to serve and share the Christian gospel creatively.

The Bachelor of Arts in Ministry program is designed to prepare leaders with little or no prior theological training to provide pastoral leadership for a congregation. It prepares students for diaconal or other non-ordained ministries within the church and can be used as a route to ordained ministry, pre-seminary training, or graduate theological studies. This 126-credit program provides a general overview of theology and skills for congregational and other ministry contexts.

As the Bachelor of Science in Ministry, the Bachelor of Arts in Biblical Studies is a comprehensive professional program to prepare students for service in the church as pulpit ministers, elders, deacons, missionaries, and Bible teachers.

The Christian Studies major is designed to provide students who have completed an Associate of Arts degree from regionally accredited educational institutions with an opportunity for ministerial training on the baccalaureate level and prepare them for the church-related ministry various types and for seminary or graduate school.

The Bachelor of Arts in Ministry program of 120 hours prepares the graduate for the particular ministry to which God has called him or her.

The first year of the BA (Hons) provides a foundation in the main sub-disciplines of theology: biblical studies, doctrine, history and practical ministry.

The goal of the Ministry major is to prepare students for preaching and general ministry. The effective preaching of the gospel is the primary mode for the advancement of the kingdom of God.

The Christian Studies major at Logsdon School of Theology equips women and men called to join God’s work in the world through a ministry vocation or who are interested in Biblical or theological studies.

Urshan College’s biblically grounded Christian Ministry degree seeks to facilitate the development of thinking and learning strategies, interpersonal skills, creativity, and the flexibility to pursue a variety of ministry options.
