Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Creative and Digital Arts (Music/Visual Arts) is the first undergraduate programme in Hong Kong to offer arts management and cultural studies components to complement discipline-based training in the creative arts. It aims to develop community-based artists who are able to work across a range of established art forms and contribute to the promotion and development of the arts and arts education in the local, regional, and international cultural and creative industries. Students will focus on one core arts discipline of either Music or Visual Arts.

The programme equips students with theoretical and practical knowledge in the English language, literature, and professional communication. Hong Kong Studies is an interdisciplinary programme to give students a broad-based education on Hong Kong—its society, culture, creative industries, economy, politics, history and environment. The programme combines the perspectives and curricular strengths of various disciplines, including literature, art history, history, sociology, politics, economics, journalism and communications.

The BACM major crosses the boundaries between different digital media arts practices and combines critical studies and creative practice. You will acquire both breadth learning and specialist training in media arts and study courses in photography, computational art, gaming and interactive media, sound, animation, film and media art installation.

Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in English Studies and Digital Communication The BA(ESDC) program aims to cultivate a new generation of English studies students with strong digital literacy skills through a digitally enriched curriculum. The program provides a wide range of courses to build a solid foundation in English language, linguistics, and digital literacy, consolidated by hands-on experience in using digital tools for language applications.

The Department of Chinese and History offers the major in Chinese and History with two streams – a) Chinese & b) History and Cultural Heritage. It aims to equip students with advanced and professional knowledge and a wide range of analytical and writing skills.

This major aims to educate students so that they will become language professionals who are familiar with linguistics and language-related applications. Students will also develop an analytical, critical and creative mind and an open attitude towards people from different cultures.

Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in English Studies and Digital Communication and Bachelor of Education (Honours) (English Language) This program aims to prepare students to become competent teachers of English for primary/secondary schools, or other English language-related professionals. Graduates will obtain a high level of English proficiency and an ability to help pupils learn English effectively.

This programme aims to nurture a new generation of professionals for the rapidly developing hotel sector in Hong Kong as well as in the region. In order to equip students with strong theory and practical knowledge and skills in hotel operations management, a broad range of hotel topics including food & beverage management, front office and housekeeping management, hotel revenue management, and staff development and training will be covered in the programme.

The rapid development of the sports and recreation industry in Hong Kong has created a strong demand for related professionals. This programme aims to provide students with a rigorous and intellectual programme of study who wish to pursue or further advance their careers in the cognate areas of sports coaching, sports therapy, or recreation management. Through high-quality education and training which emphasise both theoretical and practical knowledge, as well as professional skills, and working experience from Work-Integrated Learning, graduates will be professionally and/or clinically competent in their disciplines. Students will specialise in one of the three specialisations: (1) sports coaching, (2) sports therapy, and (3) recreation management, in order to develop their professional competence.

The four-year Bachelor of Arts in Conservation Degree [the BA(Conservation)] was launched in 2012 to meet the growing professional need for graduates to understand heritage conservation. The programme provides students with the competency to pursue careers in numerous related fields and a solid foundation for continuing their studies in specialised postgraduate programmes in conservation and complementary academic disciplines.

The Bachelor of Arts in Urban Studies [BA(US)] is an interdisciplinary, studio-based and professionally oriented programme offered by the Department of Urban Planning and Design. It is designed to equip you with a wide range of knowledge about cities and city systems that provides an essential basis for various urban professions.

Students will be awarded the following award upon successful completion of the graduation requirements: BA (Hons) in Linguistics and Translation. The option of Secondary Major in AI and Data Analysis is available to the students of BA (Hons) in Linguistics and Translation. Admission to the Secondary Major is on a competitive basis and subject to different credit requirements for graduation.

The BA (Hons) Scheme in Design equips students with the skills, knowledge, and abilities necessary to become the designers of tomorrow. The Scheme emphasises the integration of design and its relevance to society, the needs of a changing world, digital readiness and technological integration with the digital world, the growing need for design entrepreneurship and innovation, and the need for future designers to possess inter-disciplinary capabilities.
