The Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Arts and Culture Communication (BA-ACC) programme is designed to respond to the positioning of Hong Kong as an east-meets-west centre for arts and cultural exchanges, which is aligned with the vision set for Hong Kong by the Central Government as well as the policies formulated by the Hong Kong SAR Government.

The Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Convergent Media and Communication Technology (BA-CMCT) Degree Programme provides students with a quality inter-disciplinary education that offers a unique blend of media theory and practice in association with communication technology, so as to nurture professional and versatile talents to confidently face challenges and opportunities in the age of rapidly developing digital media and communication industries.

The BACM major crosses the boundaries between different digital media arts practices and combines critical studies and creative practice. You will acquire both breadth learning and specialist training in media arts and study courses in photography, computational art, gaming and interactive media, sound, animation, film and media art installation.

The Department of Chinese and History offers the major in Chinese and History with two streams – a) Chinese & b) History and Cultural Heritage. It aims to equip students with advanced and professional knowledge and a wide range of analytical and writing skills.

The Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Psychology (BA-PSY) Programme adopts the unique “Liberal + Professional” education model to equip students with comprehensive foundational knowledge and skills in psychology. “Liberal” means that the Programme adopts a broad-based and cross-disciplinary approach to connect knowledge domains, facilitate thinking, and solve problems. “Professional” means that while the Programme is broad-based and cross-disciplinary, it also has professional orientation elements that aim at equipping students with the competencies to enter relevant professions in the future.

Cultural and creative industries span across the disciplines of the arts, media, design and heritage. These multi-disciplinary studies encompass the core subjects in business, management, humanities and social sciences. The BA in Cultural and Creative Industries is unique in the sense that it aims to address the cognate issues of the creative industry sector as a whole rather than with specific industries or individual disciplines, thus enabling students to apply their knowledge in whatever industries they may engage with later on in their career.

This major aims to educate students so that they will become language professionals who are familiar with linguistics and language-related applications. Students will also develop an analytical, critical and creative mind and an open attitude towards people from different cultures.

Hong Kong Studies is an interdisciplinary programme to give students a broad-based education on Hong Kong—its society, culture, creative industries, economy, politics, history and environment. The programme combines the perspectives and curricular strengths of various disciplines, including literature, art history, history, sociology, politics, economics, journalism and communications.
