Our Psychology BA Program was the most popular choice for students applying for the Faculty of Humanities, and the second most popular choice for future psychologists in Hungary in 2018 continuing a decade-long trend. In spite of the increasing enrolment figures, our Psychology BA Program has preserved a familiar, friendly atmosphere and supportive personal relations between students and academic staff. Our university is supported by the Reformed Church in Hungary, but all majors at the Faculty of Humanities follow secular curricula set by the academic standards of the HAC (Hungarian Accreditation Committee). We aim at fostering cooperation and mutual responsibility among students thereby providing a protected community for productive studies.

BA in Psychology is the study of behavior, it has close links with the biological and social sciences as well as with the humanities such as philosophy and literature. The general aim of our program is to contribute to the intellectual and personal development of each student. Some students will choose to pursue more advanced studies in specialized areas, whereas others will choose to develop their studies within a broader educational experience before moving into a career in a wide range of employment sectors. The program endeavors to enable students to develop their capacity to contribute both to their own development and to that of society in their future careers.

The goal of this program is to train professionals in the theoretical foundations and basic methods of psychology and also, to give an insight into the applied branches of its disciplines such as possessing skills and techniques that can be used in order to measure, explore and develop individuals, groups or organizations through experiments. Students will obtain an integrated knowledge of education, communication, socialization, learning, and human development. It is also aimed to provide modern knowledge and true sense of vocation that support further learning in any psychology MA.

The aim of the program is to introduce students into the theoretical foundations and basic methods of psychology and also, to give an insight into the applied branches of psychology. The program develops the skills of the students and provides them with techniques that can be used in order to measure, explore and develop individuals, groups or organizations through professional measures and intervention. Students will obtain an integrated knowledge of education, communication, socialization, learning and human development. The BA program offers a solid basis (in terms of knowledge and approaches) for further learning in any psychology MA program.
