On the BA (Hons) Illustration course, you will be given the freedom to explore personal expression through illustration. Bachelor of Arts in Comics and Illustration is the curriculum of the Bachelor of Arts in Graphic Design that prepares professionals to enter the world of comics and illustration and enables them to tell stories by giving shape to their own style and technique. Students acquire art skills such as composition, visual communication, inking, anatomy, and perspective.

This BA (Honours) in Arts and Humanities (Creative Writing) degree gives you the freedom to combine the study of different subject areas in the arts and humanities. You'll develop a specialism in creative writing, exploring a range of approaches to writing and developing your skills. The program in Fine Arts combines training in traditional artistic media with a critical approach to making art. Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Creative and Digital Arts (Music/Visual Arts) is the first undergraduate programme in Hong Kong to offer arts management and cultural studies components to complement discipline-based training in the creative arts. It aims to develop community-based artists who are able to work across a range of established art forms and contribute to the promotion and development of the arts and arts education in the local, regional, and international cultural and creative industries. Students will focus on one core arts discipline of either Music or Visual Arts.

Our Creative Media Arts BA Honours is an exciting hands-on course that will see you produce art and make content including films, photographs, interactive installations, and immersive and digital media using creative technologies such as augmented reality (AR), virtual reality (VR), projection mapping, 3D modelling, and game engines.

JMU School of Media Arts and Design graduates tell the best stories. We prepare students to serve as creative, reflective and highly skilled media producers and storytellers, sensitive to the personal and social impact of the messages they create and to the important role media can play in advancing the public interest. Graduates of the School of Media Arts and Design work in media or in media-related careers. Program concentrations allow students to pursue interests in journalism, digital video and cinema, creative advertising or interactive design. The major also prepares students for graduate study in mass communication, journalism, advertising, visual communication or digital production. SMAD’s 39-credit-hour requirement allows students to pursue minors and second majors, to strengthen their knowledge about the types of stories they want to tell.
