The Engineering department offers several types of opportunities for students wishing to pursue a career in engineering. Two of these options involve dual degree programs (the 3/2 and 4/1) in which the student will study at Moravian University for several years and then transfer to the associated institution to finish up the program of study, resulting in a degree being granted from each institution. A third option involves simply continuing graduate study at an engineering institution of the students choosing upon successful completion of the undergraduate program at Moravian University.

The Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Architectural Studies is a four-year, undergraduate degree program in which students explore the many factors that shape our built environment. The program provides a liberal studies approach to the study of architecture that explores socio-cultural influences, urbanism, spatial reasoning, aesthetics, political and economic structures, landscape, construction, building technologies, and ecology. The program engages students in the experience of architecture as a complex, multi-faceted discipline. It also offers the opportunity to focus their studies through a series of courses concentrating on one of three areas

The Program in Environmental Studies, leading to either a BA or a minor, teaches students to develop an interdisciplinary understanding of the relationship between humans and the environment. It requires an understanding of the sciences, social sciences, and humanities. The major has 5 elective tracks from which to choose: 1) Climate Change, 2) Conservation Biology, 3) Environmental Economics, 4) Environmental Humanities, or 5) Water Resources. A major could also propose a self-designed track.

A student may choose to complete a four year degree at Centenary before pursuing studies in engineering.

Scripps offers the opportunity to combine a BA degree with a BS degree in engineering, including agreements with Columbia University and Harvey Mudd College. Please refer to the engineering requirements under Science in the Courses.

The B.A. degree provides a flexible and interdisciplinary engineering experience for students who wish to broaden their learning horizons across disciplines in Trinity’s liberal arts curriculum. The B.A. is different from the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET)-accredited B.S. degree.

Aerospace engineering prepares you to create more efficient and economical solutions for aircraft, spacecraft and related systems and equipment such as drones and satellites. Energy, the environment, and health care are key challenges facing humanity in the twenty-first century. Chemical engineering is a discipline well placed to confront these challenges. Chemical engineering is rooted in the basic sciences of mathematics, chemistry, physics, and biology; a traditional engineering science core of thermodynamics, transport phenomena, and chemical kinetics; a rigorous design component; and an expanding focus on emerging topics in materials, nanotechnology, and life sciences.
