The Art and Design major, taken as part of a Bachelor of Arts degree, offers seven areas of study including industrial design, fine arts, and art history. Visual and Material Culture Studies is an interdisciplinary program that studies images, objects, and spaces from various cultural contexts and historical periods. Visual and Material Culture Studies shifts away from the interpretation of texts, which has dominated critical discourse for centuries, toward an examination of images, objects, and spaces.

Bachelor of Arts in Game Design. A minimum overall GPA of 4.00 (C-) overall

Bachelor of Applied Arts, Animation and Visual Effects is available in a blended (online and main campus) delivery, as well as in person.Students who complete the Bachelor of Applied Arts in Animation and Visual Effects will be well prepared for entry level jobs in mid to large sized animation studios, and they will also possess the skills and attributes to collaborate with others in the creative arts to develop independent projects that serve the animation and visual effects needs of local industry.

This articulated degree between NBCCD and the University of New Brunswick (UNB) offers a combination of academic study and hands-on training. It is a 4-year degree completed through 2 years of study at UNB and two years at NBCCD, in any order you choose.

The Visual and Aboriginal Arts program provides professional preparation for careers in the visual arts. The program offers a technical, academic and practical environment for the creative visual process. As a well-rounded education in visual art, it includes studio practice and the exposure to issues, ideas and histories of both Western and Aboriginal art.
