The Philosophy, Politics, and Economics (PPE) department at AUB-M teaches and researches from a multidisciplinary perspective the social, economic, and political issues and challenges facing our world in general and the eastern Mediterranean in particular. Research wise, the department is focused on supporting and promoting multidisciplinary projects, themes, and initiatives that combine the three disciplines. Educationally, the PPE department offers a PPE degree that combines the rigorous tools and theories of political science and economics with normative philosophical analysis, to foster broader vision and critical understanding of our institutions, practices, and policies at local, regional, and international levels. The department provides foundational courses in each of the three disciplines as well as a unique set of gateway, bridging, and capstone courses designed for the PPE degree. After graduating, the PPE degree opens pathways for its alumni in graduate studies in various disciplines (development studies, economics, political science, international affairs, and moral/political philosophy). It also trains, equips, and prepares its alumni for careers in public service, political science, international organizations, and business. In line with AUB’s mission, the department promotes freedom of thought and respect for diversity, enhancing critical thinking, protecting personal integrity, and encouraging civic engagement.​

BA in Psychology equips students with a thorough grounding in both theory and practice. The program focuses on understanding how people think, develop, and interact. Students learn how the brain works, how it changes with age, and how humans perceive and interpret behavior. The program also emphasizes the social aspects of psychology, as well as the qualitative and quantitative skills required for research and practice in the field.

The Department of Accounting and Finance is strongly committed to providing high-quality education and training in the functional disciplines of accounting and finance. A diverse group of academics with professional and academic experience and expertise in a variety of areas of accounting and finance, including corporate finance, risk management, and public finance, compose the department.

The principal aim of the Business Studies programme is to provide a contemporary and dynamic programme of study which gives students knowledge, skills, and competencies on subjects relevant to business management, while also giving students a broad perspective.

The BA in Hotel, Tourism and Event Management provides a broad knowledge on the wider hotel, tourism and event industries. The program covers business principles of the hotel, tourism and event enterprises, including revenue and pricing, financial management, culinary business management, human resource management, as well as tourism management, destination planning and sustainable development, event organization and international strategic marketing practices. Students also gain practical training in front-of-house tasks such as service techniques, rooms division management, and food hygiene.

The English Language and Literature program enables students to develop the critical skills needed for textual reading and analysis, as well as the practical skills required to understand and teach the world’s primary international language. The program covers a broad range of English-language texts, examining significant historical, philosophical, and cultural developments through the study of literature and linguistics, as well as providing the cognitive skills required to teach English as a foreign language.
