Students will graduate with bilingual proficiency in Chinese and English, cross-cultural communication skills, and a solid foundation of knowledge about China.

This degree is the core undergraduate programme in the School of International Studies. Building on the foundation training in Year 1, the core modules in Years 2-4 are designed to enhance students' knowledge and understanding of past and present societies and cultures, especially in Europe, North America and Asia.

This course offers you the opportunity to combine your flair and love of English language and literature with your desire to deepen your understanding of important business issues and concepts. You will combine your study of English with modules offered by Nottingham University Business School China, which is part of the Nottingham University Business School in the UK, one of the best business schools in Europe.

The programme provides you with an opportunity to study a wide range of subjects, including contemporary mass media, journalism, new digital communications, the history of European and American societies, communications theory, the psychology of communications, arts and communications and cultural studies.

The combined degree aims to provide a better understanding of the way in which organisations might be made to operate more effectively in the communications-dominated contemporary world.

The interdisciplinary programme builds on the International Studies degree model to foster an integrated awareness of global forces today combined with extensive language training in Spanish/German/French/Japanese/Chinese. The course covers a wide spectrum from history, politics, and international relations to cultural studies and modern languages.

The BA China Studies provides you with an in-depth understanding of one of the most important global players of the 21st century - China.

The BA Accounting provides you with an understanding of the principles, techniques and applications of accounting and finance in a practical context, as well a solid foundation in the underlying academic concepts and theory in the field. Graduates can go on to become competitive trainee accountants. The programme involves studying accounting, business, finance, and management. You will learn about accounting and finance within an organisational context to understand how financial decisions are made. You will also learn to prepare and interpret accounts, and develop an appreciation of accounting practices in both the UK and China.

Following XJTLU’s exciting and innovative Syntegrative Educational Model, this programme is an equal collaboration between the University and its industry partner, China Culture and Media Group Zhong Chuan Fortune, at the School of Cultural Technology in XJTLU Entrepreneur College (Taicang).
