6 Art BA Degree Programs in Hong Kong

The Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Arts and Culture Communication (BA-ACC) programme is designed to respond to the positioning of Hong Kong as an east-meets-west centre for arts and cultural exchanges, which is aligned with the vision set for Hong Kong by the Central Government as well as the policies formulated by the Hong Kong SAR Government.

The BA in Art and Design offered by HSUHK is a unique and integrative creative study of art and design with “a problem-solving capability and a new way of thinking that promotes value adding and advocates inter-disciplinary collaboration.”

The BACM major crosses the boundaries between different digital media arts practices and combines critical studies and creative practice. You will acquire both breadth learning and specialist training in media arts and study courses in photography, computational art, gaming and interactive media, sound, animation, film and media art installation.

Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Creative and Digital Arts (Music/Visual Arts) is the first undergraduate programme in Hong Kong to offer arts management and cultural studies components to complement discipline-based training in the creative arts. It aims to develop community-based artists who are able to work across a range of established art forms and contribute to the promotion and development of the arts and arts education in the local, regional, and international cultural and creative industries. Students will focus on one core arts discipline of either Music or Visual Arts.

The four-year Bachelor of Arts in Conservation Degree [the BA(Conservation)] was launched in 2012 to meet the growing professional need for graduates to understand heritage conservation. The programme provides students with the competency to pursue careers in numerous related fields and a solid foundation for continuing their studies in specialised postgraduate programmes in conservation and complementary academic disciplines.

The overall aim of the programme is to train competent professionals for the fashion business, equipping them to work in textiles, apparel, retailing, design, and related organisations. Graduates play an active role in the development of the global fashion and textiles industry in local and overseas markets. In addition to cultivating students’ professional competencies, the programme enhances their other essential competencies, such as entrepreneurship, social media marketing, and business analytics. This expands graduates’ skillsets to meet the needs of today’s business environment.
