The aim of the MSCA is to train engineers to design, build and adjust electronic systems for the space environment. In electronic systems we include technologies related to computer control and automation systems, telecommunications systems and sensor systems used in space. This training will have an obstinacy, always present: acquisition of skills to develop efficient and 100% reliable equipment in a hostile environment, such as space. It is intended to develop personal and interpersonal skills that facilitate academic and professional integration in an environment where challenges are permanent. In the current context of the COVID-19 pandemic, it is important to remember that the air transport industry is very resilient, and has always been able to hold its own because as we know, there is no globalization without air transport.

The 3rd cycle in Structural Integrity of Aircraft aims to respond to the needs of the current labor market in the aeronautics area and aims to train professionals with advanced skills and knowledge in engineering mechanic, materials, and aeronautic, essential to the exercise of aeronautical maintenance activities, an industry in expansion in Portugal.

This course aims to provide students with the necessary tools to enable them to develop the following structural skills: understand and master the economic mechanisms of the air transport system, as well as the interdependence of its component; critically assess regulatory, economic, professional, and political information based on different sources; analyze and propose management and planning measures with the potential to improve processes in departments of companies and civil aviation entities where they may be inserted; perform functions and perform procedures with a high degree of technical complexity, commitment and professional zeal, recognizing that performance transcends national barriers; value communication as a requirement for efficiency and safety in aviation; know how to work in solidarity in groups and organize project teams; master methodological and scientific tools to develop R&D projects.

The 2nd studies cycle in Aeronautic Maintenance Technology and Management aims to fulfill the needs of the labor market and to train professionals with skills in aeronautics maintenance, or other related areas, essential to the Engineering activities in an ever-growing industry in Portugal. The objective is to raise post-graduate professionals capable of technical and professional leadership, as well as an ability to adapt to a society in constant change.
