The electrical engineering and automation major has been recruiting undergraduates since 2010, and it is a school-level key major. This major is to cultivate applied talents of engineering technology with all-round development of morality, intelligence and physique, solid theoretical foundation and strong ability of practice and innovation so that students can engage in system operation, automatic control, power electronics technology, relay protection, experimental analysis and research and development in the field of electrical engineering.

This major is one of the earliest majors established in our school. It has a history of 60 years and has an annual enrollment of 300 students. This major is the first batch of first-class majors in the country. It is a characteristic major and a comprehensive reform pilot major in Henan Province. Mechanical engineering students have many specialization directions to choose from, such as system dynamic control, thermal fluid science, design and manufacturing, medical and biological engineering, electronic engineering, micro-nano, and nuclear engineering.

We are focusing on developing students with great scientific theory and practical skills in a future career. Besides the compulsory courses in this programme, you can take optional subjects you like. Many of our graduates work in engineering design, manufacturing, development, operating management, and sales for domestic and global companies. Some prefer to do further research in machinery design.
