19 Natural Sciences Associate of Science Programs

This Associate in Science degree in General Biology is designed to allow students to study a variety of topics in cell and molecular biology, animal and plant diversity. The Astronomy Associates of Science Degree program is intended to provide a solid background for STEM students to pursue further studies in astronomy and astrophysics. Most of the courses in this program are aligned with the requirements for transfer to baccalaureate institutions and are designed to apply towards higher degrees in the astronomical sciences.

Students completing this program will be able to demonstrate understanding of how the major groups of living organisms are related to each other and of their adaptations for survival.

The Associate in Science in Physics for Transfer degree (AS-T in Physics) is intended for students who plan to complete a bachelor’s degree in Physics at a CSU campus. On completion of the program, the student will have gained proficiency in all of the main areas of classical physics and will have been exposed to some of the more modern concepts of physics, including special relativity, atomic and nuclear physics.

An Associate in Science in Physics for Transfer (AS-T) from Skyline College is intended for students who are interested in transferring to a California State University (CSU) campus with a major in Physics, or similar majors.

The A.S. degree in Physics is designed to prepare students for transfer to baccalaureate institutions as Physics or other science majors. Physics is also an accepted pre-medical field of study.
