7 On-Campus Engineering, Architecture and Aviation Associate of Science Programs

The Electrical Engineering Associates of Science degree program prepares students for transfer to a four-year institution to complete their baccalaureate degree in engineering and opens the door for entry-level internships in engineering.

Finishers of this Associate Degree end up practicing architecture or find opportunities in related fields that utilize the technical and problem-solving skills obtained from their architectural education.

Engineering is one of the largest professions in the United States, with over one million jobs in fields ranging from airplane design to pollution control. The three largest branches of engineering are electrical, mechanical, and civil. All branches of engineering place a heavy emphasis on problem-solving and mathematics. Engineering education focuses on teaching scientific and engineering concepts and their application to the creative and effective solution of problems.

The program emphasizes direct employment skills and provides a strong foundation in small to medium-scale network infrastructure. A Certificate is also available. Both the Certificate and Associate Degree are designed to develop entry-level careers and enhance existing careers.

The Associate of Science in Biotechnology Manufacturing Technician prepares graduates with the skills and experience to work in the biotechnology industry as a production technician. A production technician operates and maintains equipment used to manufacture protein pharmaceutical products.

The program is designed to prepare students for careers in the automotive industry. The curriculum aligns with the Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification areas A1 Engine Repair, A6 Automotive Electrical, and A8 Engine Performance. This prepares students for employment in advanced-level diagnostics. Upon completion of this program, students will have developed the skills required to diagnose and repair fuel and emissions related systems.

The College's Automotive Technology program is certified by the Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Education Foundation. Students completing the program will be prepared to take all eight Automotive Service Exams (ASE) in the Automotive Technology Program giving them the additional certification desired in the industry when they seek employment.
