6 On-Campus Creative Arts and Design Associate of Science Programs

The Associate in Science for Transfer (AS-T) is intended for students who plan to complete a bachelor's degree in a similar major at a CSU campus. Students completing these degrees (AA-T or AS-T) are guaranteed admission to the CSU system, but not to a particular campus or major.

Finishers of this Associate Degree end up practicing architecture or find opportunities in related fields that utilize the technical and problem-solving skills obtained from their architectural education.

At JCC, you'll take courses in design, drawing, painting, sculpture, ceramics, photography, video, animation, art history, and digital arts. You'll learn technical skills and art history, and in later courses you'll develop a body of work. The art and design facilities, technology labs, and access to JCC's Weeks Gallery provide avenues for you to experiment with ideas and creative processes.

The Music degree at Jamestown Community College prepares you to transfer and earn a four-year degree in music or a music-related field. You can pursue careers such as musician, performer, sound technician, music director, music composer, film producer, theatre manager, teacher, and arts administrator.

The Engineering Science degree at Jamestown Community College prepares you for transfer to a four-year college or university to earn a bachelor’s degree in engineering. You can continue your study toward careers in mechanical, chemical, civil, electrical, industrial, ceramic, aerospace, nuclear, environmental, or metallurgical engineering.

The Music Industry degree at Jamestown Community College prepares you to transfer to a four-year program in music business or a related field and find employment within the modern music industry. The music industry is a growing field, with careers in artist management, venue management and operation, recording and production, publishing, law, public relations and marketing, A&R representation, broadcast media, and film.
