The History Department offers African-American History, Western Civilization, World Civilization, US History, and Pacific Northwest History courses. You can use these courses to satisfy high school graduation requirements (for Running Start), social science distribution requirements for transfer degrees, and teacher certification requirements.

The Associate in Arts degree is the legally recognized transfer degree for the Florida College System. It is specifically designed for the student who wishes to transfer into the State University System of Florida as a university junior.

The History Program is designed primarily but not limited to those students who wish to pursue a Baccalaureate Degree in History. The program of study will provide students with foundational history courses as well as those courses that meet their general education requirements. Upon successful completion of an Associate in Arts Degree in History, they will be able to transfer into parallel programs.

The objectives of this program are To prepare the student in the study of and share the Word of God.

The two-year A.A. Divinity program is suited for the student who desires additional training for the purpose of serving in the local church. This program offers a wide range of courses relevant to leadership and educational ministries. Courses are aligned in three specific disciplines: Biblical Studies, Theology, and Practical Ministry. All of the courses within this program may also count toward one of the bachelor's degree programs at Manna U. A.A. Divinity students will be required to complete 55 credit hours of required courses and 6 credit hours of elective study, a total of 61 credit hours, plus fulfill the Leadership in Action requirement.

Solid biblical training from accomplished faculty with years of ministry experience. This program of study equips students to learn and apply sound Biblical leadership training such as values, vision, planning, motivation, and organizational development to embrace, understand, and live as an effective ministry leader. All of the courses within this program may also count toward one of the bachelor’s degree programs at Manna U. In addition to the 61 credit hours of academic studies, A.A.C.L. students are required to fulfill the Leadership in Action requirement.

This two-year program is, first, for students who desire some study in a biblical framework but plan to pursue a collegiate major not offered at Welch College. It provides a solid basis for biblical study plus a core of general education that should provide a good foundation for transferring to another college.

This two-year degree includes courses in general education, Bible, theology, and Christian ministry. Several interrelated purposes underlie the rationale for this program. First, some students desire to study the Bible and theology beyond the level normally available in the local church but do not plan to pursue a Bachelor’s degree specifically in those disciplines. Secondly, some students do not sense a call into full-time Christian ministry and do not desire a four-year degree, but they choose to attend Bible college for their own personal spiritual development and growth in Biblical knowledge. Thirdly, some Christians seek advanced training to serve more effectively inlay positions within their local church. The Associate of Arts degree in Bible and Christian Ministry strives to meet these needs.

The study of political science will prepare you to function as a citizen in your community, serve as a government employee or elected official, or become a civics or government teacher. It will also develop your understanding of the role of government in everyday life, business, and world events.
