The Associate in Arts in Social Work and Human Services for Transfer is designed for students who plan to transfer to a four-year institution as Social Work and Human Services majors. In this program, the students gain exposure to the field of social and human service work. Students who successfully complete the AA-T in Social Work and Human Services earn specific guarantees for transfer to the CSU system: admission to a CSU with junior status and priority admission to a local CSU campus and to a program or major in Social Work and Human Service or a similar major.

The Social Work Program provides the student with an introduction to the field of social work and the social welfare system, as well as the human behavior content required of human services workers and social welfare policy analysis skills.

The Gerontology major is designed to provide students with an interdisciplinary approach to studying the human ageing process from sociological, psychological, and biological perspectives. If you would like an overview of the field of ageing while completing your A.A. Degree, the gerontology major is a good option.

ARC's Funeral Service Education program prepares students for entry-level employment in the funeral service industry, provides a strong theory-based curriculum and related clinical experience reflective of the current industry standard, and maintains or exceeds the standards put forth by the accrediting board.
