The Associate in Arts in Social Work and Human Services for Transfer is designed for students who plan to transfer to a four-year institution as Social Work and Human Services majors. In this program, the students gain exposure to the field of social and human service work. Students who successfully complete the AA-T in Social Work and Human Services earn specific guarantees for transfer to the CSU system: admission to a CSU with junior status and priority admission to a local CSU campus and to a program or major in Social Work and Human Service or a similar major.

The Associate in Arts Degree in Physics prepares students for further study in physics or related physical science disciplines. It also provides a background in physics that includes skills appropriate for entry-level employment in science-related industries or laboratories.

The Associate of Arts Degree (Education) prepares students for entry into the Alaska Highway Consortium on Teacher Education Alaska Highway Consortium on Teacher Education (AHCOTE), the joint teacher-training program offered by Simon Fraser University and NLC. Begin with an Associate of Arts degree with a Direct Transfer Agreement into a Bachelor program in English or a related field. TCC offers the Associate of Arts (DTA) degree with a Literature Specialization. In this specialization, students choose courses from ancient to postmodern literature and from traditional to avant-garde readings.

The Associate in Arts (DTA) degree with Specialization in Spanish provides the required preparation for successful transfer into a bachelor's degree program in Spanish at the Junior level. The Associate in Arts degree is an Agreement (DTA) degree. The following course set fulfills the requirement of the Specialization in Spanish for the Associate of Arts (DTA) Degree. This specialization enables students to develop listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills in Spanish, and to analyze, examine and explore oral and written communication using a variety of topics through authentic materials, in all major time frames.

The Associate in Arts for Transfer (ADT) is intended for students who plan to complete a bachelor’s degree in a similar major at a CSU campus. Students completing these degrees(ADT) are guaranteed admission to the CSU system, but not to a particular campus or major.

The following course set fulfills the requirement of the Specialization in Music for the Associate of Arts Degree and provides a clear, music-focused pathway for students to chain music courses together in a meaningful and transfer-relevant way. This specialization prepares students to transfer as Bachelor of Arts in Music majors, or Bachelor of Arts majors. It also prepares students with a solid framework of music knowledge, allowing them to potentially enter the music industry workforce.

The Associate of Arts (DTA) degree consists of 90 quarter credits earned in General Requirements, Distribution Requirements, and Electives. The public community colleges and the four-year colleges and universities of the State of Washington have an established Direct Transfer Agreement. That agreement allows students who hold the Associate of Arts (DTA) degree to transfer at least 90 quarter credits (60-semester credits) to four-year institutions for the purpose of satisfying most or all of the general education requirements of the receiving institution.
