The Associate of Applied Science in Industrial Technology degree program is designed to enable graduates to enter various fields of industry after completing two years of study. Graduates may also elect to continue their education in the four-year Industrial Technology Program. Graduates of the two-year curriculum will be awarded the degree of Associate of Applied Science. Complete your Computer Applications Technology, Associate in Applied Science (AAS). This program provides an avenue for developing a person’s skills in the use of the Microsoft Office suite of business software applications—Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

The Associate in Applied Science (AAS) in Information Technology (IT) program is designed to provide students with skills to meet the information technology needs across industries. This program includes instruction in the principles of computer hardware components and business software, programming, databases, networking, customer service, web development, information systems, and project management. Coursework helps prepare students for a variety of industry-recognized examinations and certifications.

The associate in applied science degree in Machine Tool Technology emphasizes advanced manufacturing technologies. Students are prepared to work in precision tooling, machining, and manufacturing. Graduates could qualify for positions as machine tool operators; machinists; Computerized Numerically Controlled (CNC) machinists and programmers.

The Associate in Applied Science (AAS) degree in Information Technology Systems Administration trains students, using industry-based skill standards. Students will design, implement, secure, and support Microsoft, Unix/Linux, and other industry-standard networks, client, and server systems. Students will learn about the fundamental business context where IT systems function including business communication skills. Classroom instruction and practical experiences are combined into a course of study that provides students with broad exposure to the principles of network management and basic a basic understanding of the current information technology business environment.

Complete your Computer Applications Technology, Associate in Applied Science-Transfer (AAS-T). This program provides an avenue for developing a person’s skills in the use of the Microsoft Office suite of business software applications—Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, in addition, also includes 45 credits of transfer classes so that a student can transfer into a baccalaureate institution. Upon completion of this two-year program, an AAS-T degree is awarded.

The Associate of Applied Science in Cyber Security degree is designed to prepare students for various entry-level technician opportunities in the information security sector with emphasis on cyber security in government, private sector, and law enforcement agencies. The program consists of four emphasis tracks leading to the Associate of Applied Science Degree. Students may specialize in Cyber Defense, Information Assurance, Network Security Administration, or System Security Administration.

The Associate in Applied Science-Transfer (AAS-T) degree in Information Technology Systems Administration trains students, using industry-based skill standards. The Associate in Science in Computer Networking Technology prepares students to design, administer, maintain, and troubleshoot networks of different sizes. Students learn a diverse array of skills, including specification preparation, network management, network design, equipment and system sales, and software development.

Engineering Technology is the powerhouse department that combines training in composites manufacturing and mechatronics. Classes introduce students to materials science, composite materials, engineering design, mechatronics, and automation technology. Gain experience in hands-on state-of-the-art labs equipped with 3D printers, 3D scanners, injection molders, and robotic arms, along with equipment to test, construct, design, and build items both large and small. Capstone projects include fan-powered, radio-controlled robotic cars with printed and composite parts.

The Associate in Science in Computer Information Systems is designed to provide students with the knowledge and skills required for a variety of positions in the field of computer information technology. The program includes foundation courses in computer information systems and a wide range of skill-builder courses in current topics of technology.

The Business Information Systems Associate of Science program prepares students to work in an office environment as an Office Manager, Supervisor, and Administrative Assistant using a variety of office technology and computer-based Applications (word processing, electronic mail, database, spreadsheets, presentation graphics).

The Associate in Applied Science degree in Electronics Engineering Technology provides students with a solid theoretical foundation and practical hands-on experience in electronics applications. Graduates of the program are prepared to work as electronics technicians with electronic circuits, control systems, computers, and robotics in the areas of design, analysis, testing, development, maintenance, production, research, and sales.

Information Technology prepares students for a wide range of employment opportunities in the design, implementation, and security of Internetworking solutions for small, medium, and large enterprises. Positions involving technical support for small computer system hardware and software implementations embedded in local and wide area networks are supported through the use of the CompTIA, Microsoft, and network offerings. Major elements of this course of study include microcomputer theory, data communications, operating systems, security fundamentals including virus eradication, systems hardware, and software analysis, virtualization, troubleshooting techniques, use of computer analysis hardware, and application of all of these elements in the work setting. This program has physical requirements that may affect the student’s ability to perform in this field.
