The Associate of Applied Science in Industrial Technology degree program is designed to enable graduates to enter various fields of industry after completing two years of study. Graduates may also elect to continue their education in the four-year Industrial Technology Program. Graduates of the two-year curriculum will be awarded the degree of Associate of Applied Science. Engineering Technology is the powerhouse department that combines training in composites manufacturing and mechatronics. Classes introduce students to materials science, composite materials, engineering design, mechatronics, and automation technology. Gain experience in hands-on state-of-the-art labs equipped with 3D printers, 3D scanners, injection molders, and robotic arms, along with equipment to test, construct, design, and build items both large and small. Capstone projects include fan-powered, radio-controlled robotic cars with printed and composite parts.

The Engineering Technology A.S. Degree Program at Daytona State College prepares students for employment or provides additional training for persons employed in the highly evolving manufacturing (embedded with new technology) and high-technology industries. The Engineering Technology Associate in Science is fully transferable to four-year BSET degree-granting institutions.

The Environmental Science Technology, A.S. program focuses on environmental compliance and protection of our land and water at the federal, state, and local levels. Under the direction of an environmental scientist, graduates will be expected to perform physical, chemical, and biological sampling in the field.

The Computer Engineering Technology, A.S. Program provides a solid foundation in the installation, maintenance, and repair of computer systems, computer networks, robotics, and simulation technology. The program provides a general electronics background and prepares students to pass the A+ Certification Examination.

The Photographic Technology, AS program offers the technical instruction and theoretical knowledge in photography to assist graduates in successfully entering the commercial, editorial, advertising, fine arts, and photo technology fields. Coursework covers digital photography and videography as well as the medium’s history and aesthetics to prepare photographers as visual communicators.

The Computer Programming and Analysis (Software Engineering Technology) A.S. Program provides a solid foundation in computer programming. Students develop analytical skills in designing, developing, writing, and maintaining computer programs in a variety of industry-relevant coding languages. Students also learn the use of the latest technologies and multiple integrated development platforms in the program.

This limited access program is designed to provide graduates of certificate and registered apprenticeship programs additional technical and supervisory skills while enhancing the basic general education skills necessary for placement in entry-level management positions. With Operations Management Technology, A.S. students can advance in their field and elevate their overall performance.

The Electrical Technology Degree prepares students for careers in chemical plants, refineries, HVAC, and residential electricians. These jobs pay an average of $50 to 60 dollars an hour. The Electrical Technology Associate of Applied Science degree program prepares graduates for entry-level careers as Electrician Technicians in the chemical processing industry and residential electricians.

An Associate in Applied Science (AAS) degree in Diesel Technology is a program that typically provides students with the knowledge and skills needed to work in the diesel technology and heavy equipment maintenance field. This degree is often offered by community colleges, technical schools, or vocational institutions and is designed to prepare individuals for entry-level positions in the diesel service industry.

The Associate Degree in Applied Science with a Major in General Technology is designed for students seeking a combination of technically-oriented courses to meet specific career objectives and the opportunity to become multi-skilled technicians.

The mission of the Associate of Applied Science Degree in Business & Technology is to provide quality instruction in the program whereby students may earn an associate degree in Business Technology, transfer course credits to a four-year college, or achieve their goals in business and in computer skills and competencies needed to secure employment.

The Advanced Integrated Technology (AIT) program is a program of study that employs the principles of manufacturing and technology integration. These skill-sets include manufacturing principles, robotics, PLC programming, drive configuration and advanced electric motor control, used in modern industry.

The Mechanical Technology program at Clinton Community College is designed to prepare students for employment in the manufacturing industries. Students who successfully complete this two-year program will be awarded the degree of Associate in Applied Science (AAS). Students may enter the program directly from high school or by transferring from another college or university.
