The Natural Sciences represent a branch of science with multiple paths that deals with the physical world, including physics, chemistry, geology, biology, and astronomy. The Associate in Science degree in Natural Sciences will be awarded upon satisfactory completion of the Major course requirements and the General Education requirements.

The Mathematics and Natural Science Program provides a strong foundation for students who plan to attend a four-year institution and major in mathematics or one of the natural sciences.

In this program, you will learn to build, evaluate, test, troubleshoot, service, and repair electronic devices, from the component level to the system level. The program offers four pathways: Applications, Avionics, Mechatronics, and Biomedical Equipment.

The Associate in Applied Science (AAS) in Illustration and Sequential Art is designed for the student who wishes to develop an area of specialization in illustration and comics and sequential art.

The associate of science degree program provides students with a broad academic education to prepare them for the workplace and for upper-level university study. The degree requirements for the associate of science may be met through LCCC’s university transfer courses or by taking university transfer courses at other recognized colleges and/or universities. Since requirements at transfer institutions vary widely, students should consult the catalog of the transfer institution and plan their program with an advisor. The Health Information Management associate degree is designed for students interested in an Allied Health career that incorporates healthcare information and the systems that drive it.

The Health Technologies Department developed the Medical Assisting A.S. degree to train students in the fundamental clinical skills of reading vital signs, assisting with minor surgery, performing routine lab procedures, administering medication and the administrative skills of medical coding and medical records management. Students also participate in administrative skills externships in local clinical sites as part of the program.

The Applied Engineering Technology curriculum prepares individuals to use basic engineering principles and technical skills to solve technical problems in various types of industry. Course work emphasizes analytical and problem-solving skills. The curriculum includes courses in safety, math, physics, electricity, engineering technology, and technology-specific specialty areas. Graduates should qualify for employment in a wide range of positions in research and development, manufacturing, sales, design, inspection, or maintenance. Employment opportunities exist in automation, computer, electrical, industrial, or mechanical engineering fields, where graduates will function as engineering technicians.
