18 Health Sciences Associate of Applied Science Programs

To qualify for the Associate in Science in Health Sciences degree, students must satisfactorily complete the Degree Major requirements specified below and the local AA/ AS General Education requirements.

The Associate of Applied Science in Health Studies is designed to offer students interested in working within the health care field an opportunity to attain the associate degree. Students acquiring this degree would be able to pursue advancement opportunities within varied health care settings. Examples of positions that would be applicable include: Billing Supervisor, Patient Service Representative, Medical Administrative Assistant, Medical Supply Manager and Allied Health Instructor.

The Associate in Applied Science, Health Studies - Pre-Nursing Option is designed to offer students interested in working within the health care field an opportunity to attain the associate degree. Students acquiring this degree would be able to pursue advancement opportunities within varied health care settings.

The Berkeley College Health Sciences programs are a great way to enter the in-demand healthcare field. You’ll have the option of choosing a certificate program in Patient Care Technician or Surgical Processing Technician or opting for the Associate’s degree program in Health Sciences. Many students complete one of the certificate programs and then continue on toward a degree to broaden their career options and increase their earning potential.

The Associate of Science in Health Science degree includes the first two years of study toward a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
