The AAS degree in Emergency Medical & Health Services requires the completion of the Paramedic certificate (69 credits) and an additional 42 credits of required degree courses. With the exception of EMC 200, students may take all of the required degree courses in advance of the Paramedic certificate program. With TCC's EMHS AAS degree, you'll have the option to work as a Paramedic. You'll also have the option to go further along this career pathway. The EMHS AAS degree prepares you to transfer into Bachelor of Applied Science (BAS) programs, such as TCC's Community Health BAS program.
