This program is designed to prepare students seeking employment in business management and managerial levels of accounting. Students will receive instruction to gain mastery of the principles, methods, and procedures of accounting, students will gain a broad understanding and appreciation for other elements of management such as finance, communications, economics, and business law.

In this program, you’ll study the basic principles of business management and learn about sales, marketing, leadership, human resources and social media. Depending on your interests and career goals, you’ll choose an area of emphasis in marketing, small business management, social media marketing, or general business.

The college credit certificate program is designed to provide individuals with the skills and knowledge necessary to start, operate, and/or improve a small business. Business Management, AS Certificate classes will be scheduled to accommodate the needs of individuals already working in the business world.

The BTM Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree is a two-year degree providing in-depth knowledge for organizing, managing, and automating information using current business, applied IT, and communications skills.

Victoria College Business Management Program offers an Associate of Applied Science degree in business management and one Level I certificate and three Occupational Skills Certificates.

The program is designed for students to receive an Associate of Applied Science Degree (A.A.S.) in Business Management upon completing the requirements. The Associate of Applied Science (AAS) in Applied Technical Management allows a student to complete a diploma in a Technical College System of Georgia program area and continue to this AAS.

This two-year program prepares individuals for careers as business professionals, supervisors, managers or to own small businesses. The curriculum is designed for students who want to take the business and technical courses necessary to enter the workforce and begin careers with the option to take the general academic courses associated with a four-year Bachelor of Applied Arts and Sciences degree at a later time. The degree plan includes up to 36 credit hours of academic courses. Under the current inverted Bachelor of Applied Science degree plan at Lamar University, 24 credit hours of technical courses and all academic classes should transfer to a four-year Bachelor of Applied Science degree. Furthermore, the 36 units in academic courses should transfer to any four-year public college or university in the state of Texas.

The Associate of Science Degree in Business Management is designed for students seeking a broad program of study in all phases of business practices.

The Department of Business offers associate degrees in several study areas for students interested in pursuing a business degree. Academic advisors can help select courses that apply toward a bachelor’s degree in accounting, administrative services, business education, business administration, economics, finance, management, marketing, or other business-related areas.

The Associate of Science Degree in Business Management is designed for students who wish to have a broad knowledge of business management plus additional coursework in an area of emphasis.

This pathway meets requirements for the Associate in Business-DTA (AB-DTA) degree. It is intended to allow you to transfer to a four-year university or college Business Bachelor's degree program with your first two years of schooling completed. Completion of your bachelor's degree opens doors to a variety of careers in sectors of business, government, and non-profit work.
