Associate of Arts/ Associate of Science Field of Study Degrees (Campus) In addition to the Associate of Arts, Associate of Science, and Associate of Arts in Teaching Degrees offered, a student may also complete an official Field of Study. The Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board has created Field of Study Degrees, that are designed to transfer as a block of credit to any Texas public college or university.

The Human Services associate degree program will train you to provide education, support, care, advocacy, and/or crisis intervention in a human service agency. You'll acquire the skills needed to work with individuals, groups, and communities. Key components of this degree include cultural awareness and an understanding of diverse cultural groups, a responsible attitude, a commitment to serve others, and effective communication skills.

The Associate in Science degree in Business Administration for transfer is designed to provide students with the common core of lower division courses required to transfer and pursue a baccalaureate degree in Business Administration.

The Associate of Arts in Spanish for Transfer provides transfer majors with a strong foundation not only in the four basic language skills (listening comprehension, reading comprehension, speaking, and writing) but also in the civilization and cultures of Spain and Latin America. The degree emphasizes the acquisition of communicative competence and the development of intercultural awareness, appreciation, and understanding. Completion of the Spanish: Associate Degree for Transfer (ADT) will prepare you to meet minimum lower-division admission requirements (60 transferable units) for transfer to a California State University (CSU)or the University of California (UC). For the transfer to a UC, please consult with a counselor for additional courses that may be needed. The Spanish program map below includes all of your major coursework and recommended general education courses by term that is needed to fulfill your degree and transfer requirements.

The Associate in Arts in Sociology for Transfer (AA-T) is designed for students planning to transfer into the Sociology major at a California State University. A student pursuing this degree will meet the AB 1440 Transfer Curriculum Model for CSU.

The Associate of Science degree in Hospitality Management provides the marketable skills necessary for upward success in the hospitality and restaurant industry. Graduates learn hospitality theory and functional, hands-on skills necessary to supervise and manage successfully in this dynamic industry. The core classes should be taken in the recommended sequence.

The Associate in Science in Public Health Science for Transfer Degree is designed for prospective California State University (CSU) who are preparing to transfer and complete a bachelors degree with a major in Public Health Science or a related field.  This degree prepares students to become competent professionals in a wide variety of health-related disciplines

This Associate in Science degree in General Biology is designed to allow students to study a variety of topics in cell and molecular biology, animal and plant diversity. The coursework prepares students to use the scientific method, critical thinking, and applied reasoning to analyze real world situations.

Completion of this program will award the graduate with the Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) and prepare the graduate for a seamless transition to a Bachelor of Science Nursing (BSN) program. The graduate is eligible to apply for the National Licensing Examination for Registered Nurses (RN-NCLEX).
