San Jose City College offers both an Associate in Arts (AA) and Associate in Science (AS) in Art degree. Students planning to follow a transfer pattern should use the Associate in Arts degree. This degree may not transfer to all universities, and students need to inquire of the universities if they have a bachelors degree for their upper division course work. The Associate in Science has 2 possible areas of emphasis: Drawing and Painting or Photography. A minimum of 3 courses in the Art major must be taken at San Jose City College. A grade of "C" or better is required in each course in the major and area of emphasis for graduation.

Mission College is a public community college located in the heart of Silicon Valley. At Mission College, you can earn an Associate Degree in the following majors and/or do a 2+2 program to transfer to a four-year university to obtain a bachelor's degree.

Gateway Technical College’s Nursing associate degree program is accredited by the Accrediting Commission for Education in Nursing and includes classroom instruction and supervised clinical experiences in local hospitals and other healthcare facilities. The degree program is offered at the Kenosha and Burlington Campuses but students can also take classes online. The Associate in Arts in Dance degree will prepare students for transfer into a four-year dance major, minor or performing arts program. It can also prepare students for further study in other dance-related fields including performing, dance teaching, choreography, dance science, dance therapy, dance history or dance criticism. Upon completion of the degree students should be proficient in three or more dance technique styles at the intermediate level, have a firm understanding of dance appreciation and music theory, and be competent in creating and performing dance.

The Art Department offers both an Associate in Arts Degree. Various required and elective courses focus on individual creative development and provide a broad range of classroom and studio experiences. Art courses fulfill requirements for transfer or prepare students for careers requiring competency in visual media.
