Girton has always taken a large cohort of veterinary students with, on average, eight to nine students embarking on the Veterinary Medicine course at Girton each year.

Girton has a small but lively group of students in Theology, Religion and Philosophy of Religion. The Director of Studies, Dr Hilary Marlow, is an Old Testament scholar with a wide range of other interests, including environmental ethics, interfaith dialogue and the science and religion debate. Additional assistance is offered by the Chaplain, whose interests lie in theology and literature. In recent years Girton students have been very successful in the Faculty, resulting from the College ethos of a relaxed atmosphere with academic rigour.

Girton has a longstanding tradition in studying the law and is proud of its immensely distinguished alumni in this field. Girton lawyers have always been pioneers.
