14 Technology Associate Programs

The engineering courses are designed to introduce students to the field of engineering and/or fulfil prerequisites for upper-division engineering courses. Because many of the engineering courses have math prerequisites and because most engineering courses are offered only annually or biennially, getting started on the appropriate sequence is important.

San Jose City College offers two certificates and an Associate in Science (A.S.) in Air Conditioning/Refrigeration Technology. This program is designed to develop the appreciation, knowledge, and skills essential for employment in the air conditioning and refrigeration industry. Instruction includes both theory and practical work with refrigeration and air conditioning machinery, electrical equipment, and related mathematics. A grade of "C" or better is required in each course in the major and approved major electives for each certificate and degree.

Basically, a machinist is a person who gets paid to make cool stuff with power tools. Machinists design and manufacture precision parts, from simple pieces such as nuts and bolts to complex, high-tech components. Jobs in the industry range from operating, maintaining, repairing or inspecting machines to designing and creating programs for computer-numerical-control machines. Machine technology extends into tool and die work, maintenance machining, and research and prototyping.

This hands-on education prepares you for a career in the games, animation, visual effects, advertising and visualisation industries. The programme uses the latest technology and working methods to prepare you for the real world. You will learn to create content for computer games, animated films and visual effects films. The focus is on practical projects that reflect what you will encounter in the industry.

Montana State University-Northern offers an American Design Drafting Association (ADDA) certified Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree in Design Drafting Technology.

The Associate of Applied Science in surgical technology program at Trine University is designed to prepare students to succeed, lead and serve the community and the Certified Surgical Technology profession. The program is located in the growing Trine University Fort Wayne education center on the Parkview Hospital Randallia campus in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

Engineering technology graduates apply their knowledge and practices to the solution of specific technical and standard design problems. All engineering technology programs focus on application and practice with a balance of theory and laboratory experience.

Mechanical design technicians apply knowledge of mechanical engineering technology to design, develop, and test new or revised machinery.

Logistics Engineering Technology combines coursework from Supply Chain Management, Engineering, and Computer Science. The program mixes convenient online courses with hands-on learning instruction on industry-standard logic controllers, conveyors, and logistics technology. The supply chain industry has been greatly affected by the infusion of new technologies such as robotics, data tracking, and analytics. This degree will explore how new technologies create opportunities to design and create more efficient systems and processes that can improve an organization's productivity.

The Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) Guided Pathway includes programs that scientifically study the physical world to create and improve innovations that impact our lives.

Designed to provide fundamental knowledge of and experience with industrial electronic components and systems to learn job skills applicable in a variety of technical environments. Students will learn about and use equipment, tools, and processes to prepare for the International Society of Certified Electronics Technicians (ISCET) certification as a Certified Electronics Technician associate and be prepared to work as a technician in assembly or troubleshooting positions.

This program is designed to provide the education and skill development to prepare the students for entry-level employment in accounting or bookkeeping, or to provide supplemental training for persons previously or currently employed in these areas. The knowledge and training acquired in this program can also be applied to many other managerial or supervisory positions in business and government. Students should consult a business adviser when choosing electives.
