10 Management Associate Programs

The Business Department offers Associate in Science degrees and certificate programs in three major areas: Entrepreneurship, Management, and Marketing. The degree programs require a total of 60 units; of which, 24 units are selected from General Education areas and the remaining 36 units are selected from a business major concentration. Several levels of certificates are available in each of the three areas of concentration. The certificate programs can be completed without the requirements of General Education. A C grade or better is required in all degree and certificate major and major elective courses.The business programs are designed for students who are planning to begin a business career, preparing to assume positions of responsibility, or planning to operate their own businesses.

The Associate in Business degree is designed as a Direct Transfer Agreement/Major Related Program (DTA/MRP) for transfer with junior standing to baccalaureate institutions. It is generally pursued by students who plan to transfer to a four-year university as a business major after completing their first two years at Peninsula College.

Our Business Administration Management program provides students with business training in general administrative skills as well as a diversified background in business management principles. The broad knowledge gained will provide a solid base for entry into a wide range of corporate positions such as marketing, sales, administration, human resources, accounting, and even business ownership.

The Hospitality Management program emphasizes the management skills needed for individuals wanting to advance as management team members in the lodging and food industries.

The Diploma in Management (I and II) is a 120 credit size (UK) qualification designed for people who want to pre-study the first year and- or second two year of a United Kingdom Business Administration degree.

The Yale School of Management (SOM) admits a small number of final year undergraduates to a highly selective three-year MBA programme called the Silver Scholars Program, which provides students with the unique opportunity to enter the Yale MBA programme immediately undergraduate study and move more quickly toward their career goals.
