The Associate in Biology Direct Transfer Agreement/Major Related Program degree is intended to prepare students to transfer to Washington’s public four-year colleges and universities and many private colleges with junior standing and the majority of the prerequisites for a Biology major completed.

Edmonds College offers one of the longest-running and most well-known horticulture programs in Western Washington. For more than 50 years, the Horticulture Department has been providing top-quality graduates to the landscape and nursery industry. Our instructors are experienced horticulture professionals. All students receive training in the foundations of horticulture science such as botany, plant identification, and soil science. Specialty areas include landscape design, nursery, and greenhouse management, sustainable landscape management, and urban agriculture.

The distinguishing characteristic of the AAS-T degree is a minimum of 20 credits of general education drawn from the same list as those taken by students completing the Associate of Arts, Direct Transfer Agreement, AA-DTA, the Science, Associate in Science, Transfer Track #1 (Biology, Chemistry, Earth Science, Environmental Science, Geology), AS-T, and the Science, Associate in Science, Transfer Track #2 (Computer Science, Engineering, Physics), AS-T degrees.

The Associate Degree in Landscape Horticulture will provide you with industry-current education in technical knowledge areas of plant health care, landscape construction, small business operation, and sustainable landscape design. When completed, you’ll be a well-rounded landscape professional.

The Associate Degree in Animal Science is designed for the feed, animal nutrition, dairy, farm management, and farm supply areas of agriculture. You will learn about animal science, artificial insemination, sire selection, animal nutrition and ration balancing, record keeping, and herd health.

The Environmental Science degree provides students with a strong and broad scientific foundation to prepare students for transfer into Bachelor's degree programs in Environmental Science or Environmental Studies.

The ADT in Environmental Science introduces the concepts and principles upon which environmental knowledge is based, including the biological, chemical, and physical concepts underlying scientific theory and application to environmental issues. Students will develop skills for critical/analytical thinking, perceptive reading/observation, and interpretation to apply to environmental concerns affecting our everyday lives. The AS-T in Environmental Science provides students with a core curriculum to develop key skills for applying biological, physical, and chemical principles to the study of the environment and developing solutions to environmental problems.

Gain a broad knowledge of fundamental academic areas with Concordia University, St. Paul's fully online Associate of Arts in General Studies, which you can complete in two years with transfer credits. In addition, you'll develop time management, goal setting, and study skills to be successful in future academic and professional work. In this 60-credit-hour general studies program, you'll study writing, communication, and global studies, along with electives of your choice.

The Associate in Science with an emphasis in Agricultural Education or Soils and Sustainable Crops is designed for students to either transfer specific courses or a complete associate degree to the College of Agriculture, Forestry and Life Sciences at Clemson University to count toward a four-year degree.
