The rapidly evolving field of web development has created a need for people with the technical skills to design, develop and support websites. Virtually all businesses require a public website and many develop internal intranets to support various applications. This degree will give you the skills to create and maintain professional, high-quality websites. You will learn how to use HTML 5, cascading style sheets (CSS), JavaScript, PHP, and ASP.NET.

Surroundings have an enormous influence on people’s lives. Put your creativity to work in this exciting career field as an interior designer. You will learn how to plan the arrangement of interior space and coordinate the selection and sales of furniture, draperies, and other fabrics, floor coverings, and interior accessories.

The Media Arts program is a unique, interdisciplinary approach to the converging fields of journalism, communication and new media technology. It responds to the need for people skilled in effective communications in all levels of society including industry, education, art and music, and the public arena.

Multimedia & Interactive Technology (MIT) is a two-year program that leads to an Associate in Applied Science Degree, AAS. A wide array of interactive media products and services are in high demand. The MIT program prepares students to meet this demand by offering training in web design, graphic arts, digital photography/videography, social media, and game and app development. The Web Designer AAS degree and all but one of the certificates are available entirely online.

This program prepares students for a wide variety of careers in graphic design and commercial printing. This includes instruction in graphic design, production graphics, electronic prepress, digital printing, offset printing, screen printing, finishing, bindery, and business management, using the latest equipment and software available within a live, production facility. Classes are structured to give strong academic and hands-on experience for entry into the graphic communication industry.

The Visual Communications Department emphasizes a variety of creative and technical skills in preparing students for a career in advertising, publishing, and public relations. The 2-year Associate of Technical Arts (ATA) degree also includes fundamental business practices which empower students to work in the gig economy as a freelancer and/or as part of a company. The arts and culture industry is constantly growing and looking for folks with an eye for detail, a willingness to explore the possibilities, and a passion for ingenuity.

The department of Computer Information Systems (CIS) offers degrees and certificates in three major areas: Computer Programming,Network Administration and Web Developer.See the respective major sheets for additional information about the specific certificates and degrees. A grade of "C" or better is required in all certificate, major and major elective courses.
