66 Design Associate Programs

This program prepares students for a wide variety of careers in graphic design and commercial printing. This includes instruction in graphic design, production graphics, electronic prepress, digital printing, offset printing, screen printing, finishing, bindery, and business management, using the latest equipment and software available within a live, production facility. Classes are structured to give strong academic and hands-on experience for entry into the graphic communication industry.

The department of Computer Information Systems (CIS) offers degrees and certificates in three major areas: Computer Programming,Network Administration and Web Developer.See the respective major sheets for additional information about the specific certificates and degrees. A grade of "C" or better is required in all certificate, major and major elective courses.

The Visual Communications Department emphasizes a variety of creative and technical skills in preparing students for a career in advertising, publishing, and public relations. The 2-year Associate of Technical Arts (ATA) degree also includes fundamental business practices which empower students to work in the gig economy as a freelancer and/or as part of a company. The Interior Design Department offers courses for individuals interested in preparing for careers in interior design. Included in the program are a transfer program, an AS degree, and three Certificates of Achievement: the Interior Design Certificate, the Kitchen and Bath Certificate, and the Home Staging Certificate.

The Web Designer AAS degree and all but one of the certificates are available entirely online.
