The Biology program map below includes all of your major coursework and recommended general education courses by term that is needed to fulfill your degree and transfer requirements. This pathway is geared toward students working toward transfer to CSU, but can be used for transfer to University of California (UC) System as well. Those students working toward transfer to UC should take CHE-12A and CHE-12B (Organic Chemistry I and II) instead of or in addition to PHY-2A and PHY-2B.

This degree partially fulfills the general education requirements as explained in the Associate of Arts, Direct Transfer Agreement, AA-DTA degree. This degree does not guarantee admission into the major.

The Associate in Science in Biology for Transfer, also called the Biology AS-T Degree, is designed to prepare students for a seamless transfer with junior status to a CSU campus in a program or major in Biology for completion of a baccalaureate degree. Upon successful completion of courses leading to the Biology AS-T Degree the student will be able to know and understand Biology concepts, skills and applications to attain upper division status in Biology at any CSU institutions.
