The Department of Art and Design offers a BA and a BFA degree. It provides a creative environment for academic excellence in the areas of drawing, painting, sculpture, printmaking, graphic design, and photography. The M.A. in Art, Design and Media offers a creative environment in which students tailor their curriculum to their unique scholarly and creative interests and apply theory to original research. Students develop a critical understanding of the scholarly implications of creativity in highly digitized culture. There are two options to complete the degree: thesis or art practice thesis.

The purpose of the program is to enable candidates to undertake research at the most advanced academic level culminating in the submission, assessment, and acceptance of a thesis. The candidate is required to demonstrate high-level research capability and make a significant and original academic contribution to the frontiers of art and/or design.
