The honors minor program in Art Theory and Criticism merges diverse aspects of visual studies into a unique curriculum, providing the students with an understanding of the major intellectual trends and debates in the visual arts, including art history, theory, criticism, and museum studies. This comprises a study of the new philosophies of vision that have emerged over the past decades and affected our ways of seeing and the new technologies and media that have redefined lifestyles and social relations.

Established in 1983 as Archeology and Art History, the department provides education as Art History with the separation of Archeology and Art History in 1998. In the programs carried out by two departments, Western and Contemporary Arts and Turkish and Islamic Art, the courses covering Turkish, Islamic, Ottoman arts, Western art and contemporary arts are equally weighted.

The Department of Ceramics offers a specialist programme that combines traditional production techniques and contemporary art. The four-year BA (Hons) degree programme in the field of ceramics and glass art has the vision of providing students with practical skills in creating and presenting their own original works through workshops and learning material chemistry and traditional techniques.

In our age where digital communication technologies are developing rapidly, Cartoon and Animation Department is needed in all fields related to communication and visual arts. Cartoon and Animation; It is an interdisciplinary department that carries different traces from many branches of art, not only with talent, but also because different technical and digital design techniques are used.

Anadolu University Graduate School of Fine Arts was founded in 1992. The School started offering graduate studies in the academic year 2008-2009 with the programmes in Graphic Arts, Ceramic Arts, Sculpture, Interior Design, Animation, Painting, Printmaking, Music, Drama, Musical Instrument Construction and Arts. In the fall semester of 2009-2010, the School launched a programme in glass arts. Currently, with its 12 graduate study programmes, the Graduate School of Fine Arts aims to integrate into the society individuals furnished with academic knowledge and experience and competent in their field of study, in line with contemporary developments in arts.

The Institute of Fine Arts, which has started its educational activities since the Fall Semester of the 2014-2015 Academic Year, all departments of the Faculty of Fine Arts of Mimar Sinan Güzel Sanatlar Üniversitesi , the Department of Interior Architecture of the Faculty of Architecture and the Department of Music and Performing Arts of the State Conservatory It includes master's and arts proficiency programs under its branches.

Our university, which aims at having a distinguished place among national and international universities, was founded on the basis of the law no 5467 on 1st March, 2006.

Trakya University, School of Fine Arts was established on Sep. 30th, 2005 and started teaching in 2008-2009 academic year. Currently, we have three departments; painting, sculpture and graphic design.
