This Master Program aims to provide qualification for the praxis of the professional activity of an architect. The objective of the first semester is to provide transversal training through technical and project-oriented modules. Those modules allow students to integrate knowledge from the compulsory courses and to bring it closer to the professional activity. In the second semester, students will be ready to focus on the Master´s Final Project.

The Architectural and Engineering Technology Department offers vocational and paraprofessional programs in architectural and engineering technology as well as preparation for transfer to four- and five-year architecture programs.

This program in BSc in Architectural Engineering covers engineering design, structures, and construction management. Education takes place in cooperation with other design and engineering professionals. Students are expected to have good visual skills, and a grasp of mathematics, and the history of architecture. The program focuses on the responsibility of the architect in building design, the detailed development of building systems, and teamwork. This degree course aims to give students a clear understanding of the key contexts of architecture and the built environment, the design relationships among people, architectural space, and the environment – through live projects and contemporary situations.

The Department of Architecture offers a Master of Science degree in Advanced Architectural Studies that aims to create a flexible research and design experimentation platform, based on (i) History, Theory, and Criticism in Architecture, (ii) Digital Technologies and Communication Media in Architecture, (iii) Construction Technology and Sustainable Design, and (iv) Urban Design and Planning.

The MS in Architectural Engineering provides a foundation for those who want to focus on the building industry with an appreciation of integrated architectural requirements. The MS in Architectural Engineering program provides students with the best foundation for launching or accelerating a career in architectural engineering. Participants build the skills required to cope with the challenges presented in the field. The specialty areas of study in architectural engineering include: Integrated Building Systems - Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) Systems - Structural Engineering and Structural Materials

This program in MSc in Architectural Engineering trains students to apply their complex knowledge in the areas of architecture and urban planning, as well as in the multi-faceted field of environment formation in general (architectural design, town and country planning, preservation of built heritage, structural design, construction work, management, and administration tasks, consulting with authorities, teaching, etc.) In addition, students are prepared for their professional planning license once they have gained the prerequisite practical experience as required by the relevant regulations. The final complex design project and the diploma design project are a summary, a synthesis of their studies, and serve as a final assessment of their acquired knowledge.

The primary task of the Doctoral School is to provide educational programs in PhD in Architectural Engineering of a high standard in accordance with the requirements of the Bologna system to those leading architects with an MSc or MA degree, as well as to those with an MA or MSc degree in an architecture-related field.

BEng Architectural Engineering plans, designs, builds and maintains the buildings that shape our day-to-day existence, focusing on structural engineering, architectural design and building services. MSc in Architectural Engineering is entirely offered in English and prepares high-level professionals who can work in the field of the built environment, and in particular of high energy performance, low environmental impact buildings, thanks to multi-disciplinary training and the acquisition of specialist engineering skills.

MSc in Civil and Architectural Engineering at the start of the study, you choose between five study lines. The choice of study line is a choice of a course package that influences the first three semesters. Currently, the study lines are Infrastructures Geotechnical Engineering, and Structural Engineering.

The programme is for those who wish to understand the energy, CO2 and functional performance-related engineering strategies and systems used in buildings to ensure high performance, and also how these relate to basic aspects of architectural design such as spatial design and human response to the physical features of the built environment. Fundamental and integral to the programme is a grounding in mathematics and building science as well as an understanding of the management and professional practices that form the knowledge base and skills of the modern architectural engineering professional.

The master’s programme in Civil and Architectural Engineering fosters graduates that will design and build our future homes and infrastructure, with a deep understanding of human conditions and needs and urgent demands for sustainability. In one of two specialisations, students explore either techniques for design, construction and maintenance of infrastructure or engineering design of buildings with a focus on performance and lifecycle perspective.

You will stand out on the job market with the ability to produce architectural drawings and visualisation materials. Architectural Technical Design is an exciting program where you will gain insight into contributing to the production of building drawings and modelling residential and commercial buildings.

The Bachelor of Science in Architectural Design aims at the formation of graduates mastering the theoretical fundamentals and the operational tools needed for designing architecture on its various scales and paying attention to the conditions posed by the complexity of the transformation processes of the built environment.
