The AACSB-accredited online Bachelor of Business Administration with an emphasis in Agri-Tourism from the University of West Alabama delivers interdisciplinary expertise by combining coursework in agribusiness, hospitality and more. It is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs. 

The Agricultural Business major teaches students the operating techniques and business skills used in the modern food and fiber industry. This program builds student knowledge and skills needed to manage small- and medium-sized businesses in agriculture and allied industries. This is true whether the business is directly involved in production, value-adds to raw agricultural products, or provides support services including the distribution, processing, packaging, and marketing of agricultural products.

The Master’s in Agricultural Education at N.C. A&T will prepare you for a professional career in teaching or communicating the complexities of the global agriculture and natural resources systems that we all depend on. Professional Licensure – This curriculum prepares individuals to teach agriscience education in middle and high schools. Graduates of this track are eligible to apply for advanced (graduate level) licensure in North Carolina. This track offers graduates versatility in career options, because it prepares them for the many other professions that rely on agricultural educators

If you are interested in nutritious foods and a healthy environment, the Sustainable Land and Food Systems concentration is for you (curriculum). Here at NC A&T, we are educating the next generation of land and food system leaders. We do this by using 21st-century approaches including technology-driven classroom instruction, experiential learning on our urban food platform and student farm, and service learning opportunities on-campus and around our community.

The Environmental Studies major combines courses (curriculum) from several disciplines, which enables you to develop your creativity, analytical skills and imagination by discovering alternative ways of applying science and your communication and leadership skills to environmental problem solving. This major incorporates breadth and depth, and provides flexibility to focus in an area of interest to you. It is popular among students interested in careers as environmental scientists.

The minor in Agricultural Business is open to all students who desire to complete an integrated set of courses where they learn how to apply economic principles and business management tools to a broad range of agricultural and small business management applications. Students will develop skills in agricultural production management, financial management, marketing, and international development and trade. These skills will be valuable to students seeking careers at agricultural companies, or as owner-operators in their own businesses.

Bachelor of Science (B.S.) - Agricultural Education (Secondary Education) - The curriculum in secondary education is for students seeking careers teaching agriscience in middle and high schools. Graduates are eligible to apply for the agricultural education teaching license in North Carolina. Students majoring in this concentration will also have to be admitted to the College of Education’s Teacher Education Program at N.C. A&T, and must earn a minimum grade point average of 2.8, in addition to other program requirements. Please ask your advisor for more details and information about these requirements.
